I have been neglecting my blog, which makes me pretty sad, but it was for some good reasons. This year, I've made a few blog goals of my own.

I have also decided to start my 365 project over again. In 2011, I started doing the project for the wrong reason, which was because everyone was doing it. It caused me to not be into the project 100%.

2012 is going to be a fabulous year for me & the hubby. With my cousins wedding, my 30th birthday, and a little addition to the family, I can't even begin to explain how exciting this year will be. I can't wait to capture it all with the 365 project.

I think I'll post the photos mainly on Flickr, but we'll see if I end up wanting to post it on my blog as well. Somehow I feel like I will post the pics here, just not as regularly.

Color Blocking

Saw this video on The Glamourai's blog and thought it was pretty sexy. It's pretty much Brian Atwood's take on color blocking. Color blocking is when you use two or more blocks of color in an ensemble. In Brian's case, it's used in his sexy shoes. I just love the mixing of all these bright colors.

My food blog and wedding blog have been neglected lately since I've been posting more of my blogs here. I've been thinking about whether combining those blogs into this one would be a good idea. Does anyone know of a way to do that without it being so manual? Is it even worth it? Because the topics are kind of separate, I'm still debating on even combining them.

Taken August 26, 2011. Food trucks are now coming by my work every Friday until mid November. I'm so excited. However, this meal ended up unsettling my stomach. It was a 30 minute wait, only to end up being quite greasy and not so flavorful.

I was about to just give up, but my mom told me that it's doing well and to just wait. Sure enough, these pretty babies started to pop up. I checked again today and there's even more. Taken 8.1.11 - As part of Vacation Bible School, the kids got to dye and color backpacks for the Kid to Kid project. They donated $2, which was used to purchase a Spanish Bible that went into the backpacks they made. All backpacks and Bibles will be sent to children in South America. I loved it when a kid put in a bag of pennies. That must've been pennies she was saving for herself.

This was the 12 tribes signs for Vacation Bible School. Throughout all the stress and drama amongst certain people, I had to continue to pray and remind myself that this was God's program and it was for the children.

This week was Vacation Bible School, which is basically a week long Bible Camp for kids. Just 2 hours every day, for one week. The whole program seemed to be thrown together in about 2 months. I was the lead for my church, despite having little time to truly put in the work it needs.

This was our last song of Opening Worship for Vacation Bible School today. I love it. I haven't heard this song in awhile. So simple and means so much. I can't even explain how this made me feel today. After all the praying and stress that we all had to endure to make Vacation Bible School happen, this song really put everything in perspective.

My cousins husband dives for jade and then creates his own masterpieces. He happened to have a table at a local fair, so me and the hubby went by to support him and check all his stuff out. His pieces are truly one of a kind. Some of his pieces also have abalone that he's found as well.

My uncle's cancer went into remission, then within a month ended up showing up again. Apparently it decided it wanted to spread into his brain. We went to go visit him at the John Muir hospital where he's staying at. This hospital is gorgeous. My uncle unfortunately isn't allowed to see the beauty. He's currently trapped in his room: no tv, no books, no leaving the room. Praying things start looking up soon.

My work helped out the Alameda County Community Food Bank at the Alameda County Fair. If people brought in 4 non-perishable items, they got to get into the fair for free. It was so great to see how everyone loved to help out. Many people brought extra to just help out. That made up for the one or two people I saw that tried to cheat the system and be greedy. (One guy gave away his sons lunch just so he can get in for free!) *Sigh*

When I forget to bring a lunch and don't feel like spending a lot for lunch, I got to this local asian bakery. This ham and cheese bun is only a dollar and it's quite delicious. My drink usually ends up a pearl tea drink from next door. That is until I found out that their drinks may have pieces of plastic in it. Weird huh?

If anything, I'm highly tempted to stop the 365 pictures and start something new. Maybe a monthly thing. Something creative that will get me blogging and taking pictures again.

This day, hubby's parents were coming home from the Philippines. We had to wake up pretty early and go pick up the big truck at their house. So, hubby and I decided to go have breakfast at IHOP. His fruit crepe looked pretty delicious.
