Color Blocking

Saw this video on The Glamourai's blog and thought it was pretty sexy. It's pretty much Brian Atwood's take on color blocking. Color blocking is when you use two or more blocks of color in an ensemble. In Brian's case, it's used in his sexy shoes. I just love the mixing of all these bright colors.

Today was the last Wednesday we got to wear jeans for the month. September was support hunger month. Any employee got to wear jeans on Wednesday if they donated a dollar to the Alameda County Community Food Bank. Can't wait to find out how much the company raised.

Awesome video about style in London.

Say something nice

This needs to be placed all over the place. Saying something nice is a great way to brighten someones day. God is good.

Taken September 12, 2011. We walked up Diamond Head. The stairs right before you get to the top kicked my butt, but it was totally worth it. I was actually surprised the climb to the top wasn't even a mile long. I was expecting a long hike.

Taken September 1, 2011. At Johnny Garlic's in Dublin. In my opinion, I think this place is overrated. A little pricey, but what do you expect since it's a TV Chef's restaurant? The taco appetizers were great though. I'd go back just for these.

Neglected

My food blog and wedding blog have been neglected lately since I've been posting more of my blogs here. I've been thinking about whether combining those blogs into this one would be a good idea. Does anyone know of a way to do that without it being so manual? Is it even worth it? Because the topics are kind of separate, I'm still debating on even combining them.

Taken August 26, 2011. Food trucks are now coming by my work every Friday until mid November. I'm so excited. However, this meal ended up unsettling my stomach. It was a 30 minute wait, only to end up being quite greasy and not so flavorful.

I got to have dinner with Sheena today. Although we don't see each other often, when we get together it's like we're just as we left off. I love friends like that.

Taken August 22. We got to babysit my sister-in-laws kids. One of the little girls decided it would be fun to wear my heels. She was actually pretty quick walking around in them so I had a hard time taking a picture of her. Hence the blurry picture.

Taken August 19. We've had this orchid since the end of last year. It lost all it's flowers, but I was pretty adamant in trying to keep it alive. I was about to just give up, but my mom told me that it's doing well and to just wait. Sure enough, these pretty babies started to pop up. I checked again today and there's even more. I'm so excited!

Taken 8.1.11 - As part of Vacation Bible School, the kids got to dye and color backpacks for the Kid to Kid project. They donated $2, which was used to purchase a Spanish Bible that went into the backpacks they made. All backpacks and Bibles will be sent to children in South America. I loved it when a kid put in a bag of pennies. That must've been pennies she was saving for herself.
