Mini-Lake

Our mini lake across the street is diminishing now that it's getting warm again. The mallards won't have a place to chill soon. Very sad.

My cousin and aunt from London are in town for the week. They brought my hubby and I some Spotted Dick.  It's actually not bad, although I think it would taste better with ice cream. I still get a kick out of the name.

Today I got to go to a bridal fair with one of my besties in the city. They had lots of great vendors and inspiration. This cake was gorgeous! They had a picture of Christina Aguilera's wedding, so I'm guessing they catered hers. (Company TBD. Just have to search through all the swag. *sigh*)

Today we hiked up Mission Peak in Fremont. Well, not to the very top. We didn't want to push my uncles limits. That's probably a good thing for me too since I'm out of shape right now. Either way, it was a great day for a hike. We got to see lots of cows and their pies. Plus of course the beautiful scenery. Me and the hubby want to continue hiking. Eventually I'll make it to the very top.

Yesterday's picture. Yesterday, Friday, March 11, Japan had a huge earthquake that in turn caused a tsunami that passed through Hawaii and even came all the way to Santa Cruz! It seriously makes you see how small my current "problems" truly are. Praying for everyone there. 

My picture has nothing to do with Japan of course. My other pictures just didn't look good. I'm not even happy with this picture. But, I could only really think of Japan, so I didn't really focus on how good my picture of the day turned out.

I was so tired yesterday I fell right asleep when I had the chance. This was yesterday's picture. I finally got to try Seoul on Wheels. A Korean food truck that actually stopped by my work area. They never come by there. I must say, it was delicious! I hope they come by more often.

My good deed for the day was because of this. A coworker wanted potato chips to go with her lunch but accidentally pushed for the flaming hots. So in turn I bought her the bag of chips. <3 Made me feel good to watch her light up.

Yesterdays picture. Borders is closing. I went yesterday and found one last advertising magazine. I love clever advertising. I always have. when I was in elementary and high school, I used to pull out all the clever ads I loved and collect them. The above ad is an Ikea ad on saving space.
